Lightbulb Big Update, Small feature

Ok we all know Anet is working on the Hard mode, and that it will be released in the coming weeks (Hoping this month ). But there are still small simple things that could improve the game, and shouldn't take that much time to program .
So please post your suggestion what a real nice small feature would be for the next update.
  • Categories to Friendslist: The easiest way would be: PvE Friends, PvP Friends, Trades, Ignore. Only Such a Small update would already make life easier on most of us.
  • Sorting of titles: Titles sorted on explorer, protector, etc, instead of just adding titles at the bottom. Would be nice to have drop down as in the Questlog.
  • Exp scrolls from Nightfall still don't stack with scrolls from Tyria or Cantha.
  • Improved Party Search: Making the post text longer would already make a big difference.
To the Mods this is not a Suggestion an sich, but a collection of small things that Anet really should be thinking of for the next update.

Er, like it or not- that is a list of suggestions. And don't act like you know how long or difficult it would be to program.

I'm sure this has been posted a hundred times already, but Hard Mode is a great feature, and although it won't be for everyone, it is a great addition to PvE.

That said, in my personal opinion - the ABSOLUTE GREATEST single update they could ever do would be a Title Sorting option. That is the only thing I want right now.

Yes, because that list is as difficult to program as an entire revamp of the game such as hard mode.

  • Adding 2 more Name indexes for friendslist which are static shouldn't take to much time, and well with a friendslist of 20+ do you still remember where you knew them from?
  • Reordering how titles are seen in title log should be just copy paste ^^.
  • Stacking of Scrolls: they did it for dye's so why not scrolls? It's the same adjustment but then for another item.
  • As easy as just making the memory space for the text longer. Why couldn't it just be limited as the text that you put in the chat window?

Stacking of Runes, Insignias, Inscriptions, and weapon upgrades (hell, even Mini Pigs) would be amazing. If they don't want to give us more storage, at least stack more kinds of items so that it frees up existing space.

This is nog a suggestion, but small things that Anet really should consider for the next big Update. And as said they are small things, bug fix.
Title covers the content nicely, can't see anything wrong with it.

Suggestion is the psychological process by which one person (in this case you, and others you try to get suggestions from) may guide the thoughts (you wanted them to consider these options right?), feelings or behaviour (and you wanted them to implement these things right?) of another.

thus, i hope you concider this as true
because in no way you can call your list 'not a suggestion'

The title is abit misleading. I thought it was saying something about Gailes hinted Major Update coming this week....

I would classify those as suggestions but i agree with the title sorting one. I hate how my Tyrian and Canthan explorer and protector titles are at the top of the list and then my Elonian explorer and protector are right at the bottom.

I would call them things they should consider for the big update, rather then a suggestion. Hard mode brings a new key system:

Now all these features are on Macro scale, my considerations are on micro scale and are peanuts compared to them ^^

First example of suggestion synonyms from www.yourdictionary.com :

Something that is put forward for consideration: proposal, proposition, submission. See offer

Is the wording that much more important then the content? I would like that anet consider these small things for the big update as they are annoyences that are reasonable easy to solve. And yanman post also has a big thumbs up from me.

I didn't say it was more important. But it is on topic, since you brought it up on the very first message.

anyhow its a suggestion of things they should concider

thus it needs to be in the suggestion section.
about the actual content, fine, there are several things that can be concidered
many updates can happen (i dont like naming them small or big myself since we never know what changes it involves in what sections of the game, thus how mutch coding work it will be)
but its nice you compile a list of things .

I like how every Joe Six-Pack on the internet thinks they have what it takes to determine the time and resources necessary for IT projects. If only they could all be project managers I'm sure they'd do a bang-up job.*

*No, not really.

Fortunately I am Joe Beertender (Dutch People will get this joke ).
Anyways I do some programming myself (University) Given the fact that guildwars has to be modular to be updated as often as it is. These small things should be relatively easy to update. And as said earlier it's not a "hard mode" we are talkin about, most are just Gui updates. Which is nothing compared to changing the ai behavior of mobs. Gaile what is your take on this?

To rub myself in a flame blanket, anybody else has some input On Topic not concerning the Disclaimer?

The next update is coming out this or next week. It's far too late to be thinking about what else they should put in; likely right now they're just putting the finishing touches on the current new material.

It's not like they can read something on the forums and slap it together in five minutes; if they could they would've done it already :P

I'm not saying they aren't good ideas, they definitely are- it's just not something that needs extra promotion just because an update is around the corner. Stick them in the suggestion forum with the others, and they'll implement them IF they agree it's a good idea AND they have the time.

Personally I would like to see some way of fixing the map so that you can zone to anywhere in a single jump. As it stands, it takes 3 loading screens to jump from somewhere like Gate of Pain to another place like Droknar's Forge.

I'm not a programmer, so I don't know how much effort/time it would take to do this, but it seems like it should be a relatively simple change and would make a big difference to players.
